The Wild Horse Pass Casino RV parking lot was buzzing with activity and was nearly full of RV of all shapes and sizes……and with people of all shapes and sizes. Within earshot or hearing distance there had been a country music concert, a black cowboy rodeo, the usual daily wild west shootout at the Rawhide: plus the annual drag races at the nearby speedway had attracted thousands of avid spectators including 15-20 RVs loaded with drinking, partying and picnicking fans. www.wildhorsepasscasino.com
Short and long term stays In addition to the usual long term RVers that stay here from 3 wks to 3 months there are many like me who stay from one day to 3 wks. Today the WINs RV singles group (Wandering Individuals Network) has invaded the lot or Wandered in from their busy, intensive week of dance lessons and dances at the fairground in Casa Grande, just 30 miles south. Members of this group travel alone, in pairs or as a group and meet several times each year in different locations for dancing, hiking, kayaking, crafts and other group activities They are a congenial group who welcome visitors, especially single males, according to two of the single ladies. When I first arrived at this parking lot I mentioned that my plans were to head for the more famous Quartzsite, AZ desert boondocking location. A listener replied, "Why would you want to drive over to the desert with the blowing sand and where you get a mouthful of sand and dust every time that you speak?" I stayed at WHP and have happily returned several times since. One RVer informed me that he had been coming back annually for the past 15 years.
Several other independent couples and individuals simply enjoy the amenities offered by this and other casinos. Many enjoy the gambling, other relish the inexpensive buffets and breakfast. All appreciate the security, trash pickup, clean lot, and proximity to the city and supermarkets and other stores. Of course, spring training for MLB is just a few miles north in the greater Phoenix area. Many casinos have learned the value of encouraging RVers to use their parking lots, even though some never spend a dollar on the slots or tables. Some of the reasons given for staying at WHP include:
1. No charge for parking.
2. Unlimited length of stay.
3. Clean, secure, friendly parking.
4. Friendly RV environment.
5. Easy access to dump station and fresh water at Beaudry RV across I-10.
6. Easy access to shopping and big city activities.
7. Good weather.
8. Ample sunlight for solar panels.
9. Pets are allowed.
10. Some RVers like to gamble.
11. Good food is available at the casino
12. Clean bathrooms inside the casino.
It has been another interesting and socially rewarding week of music, laughter, talking and relaxing here in the Wild Horse Pass Casino RV parking lot.

Comments
I was recently there and parked in the lot described. I also more recently read the Casino was closing that parking area. All that appears to be available now for RV's is about 12 RV parking spaces side-by-side at the new casino.
