San Diego runners looking for a great summer run series need to look no further! The Movin Shoes Summer Run Series has begun and is sure to inspire runners of all abilities and paces. The weekly gathering is held every Monday night at 6:00 P.M. at the Encinitas Movin Shoes location with three, four, and six mile options. All three runs take runners along Highway 101 offering sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean. After the run, be sure to stick around for the raffle drawing with prizes donated by the sponsors.
The ten week series is sponsored by Rider Sandals as well as an additional co-sponsor each week. Big name running shoe and apparel companies such as Brooks, Nike, Asics, and Adidas, are scheduled for appearances with opportunities to 'try before you buy'. Portable hydration specialists Nathan Sports kicked off the series this past Monday by introducing their new sports drink Catalyst, as well as a new line of belts and bottles to carry on the go.
If Monday night runs are not your thing, Movin Shoes still has you covered. They offer a Tuesday evening run from their La Mesa store and a Wednesday evening run from their Pacific Beach store, which just happens to be the oldest weekly run in San Diego spanning the past 22 years without missing a week. If you want the sponsors and prizes though, Encinitas is the place to be.
