Over 30,000 Sacramento runners and walkers celebrated Thanksgiving together when they participated in the sixteenth annual Run to Feed the Hungry on Thanksgiving morning. The annual race is a fundraiser for the Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services, and more than $800,000 was expected to be raised at this year's event. See the 10K race start in the video below.

Runner and walkers chose between a 5K and 10K race that started at California State University Sacramento, wound through neighborhood streets of East Sacramento, and finished just east of the corner of Elvas Avenue and H Street. This year both the 5K and 10K courses were changed to lessen the congestion of runners through the streets. Capital Road Race Management, a Sacramento base race management company managed the race and provided the ChronoTrack Tag Timing.
