California International Marathon 2009: Road closures & course map

The information below is provided on the California International Marathon  (CIM) website:

ROAD CLOSURE SCHEDULE

These road close/open times are based on 3:00/min mile pace for first competitor (handcrank chair division) and approximately a 14 minute per mile pace for the slowest. (This is rounded up from the 13 minutes and 44 seconds pace per mile needed for the 6-hour finish time limit but is used below to calculate closure times).

Important notes:
Expect large gaps after first runner; allow cross traffic carefully.
Slower runners might fall behind the reopen times shown below. In such cases, the runners are pedestrians responsible for heeding normal traffic laws; roads will be reopened for traffic (this is the table of times used by the trailing CHP car to reopen course to traffic)
