Oklahoma State men's team and Villanova's women's team were victors in the 2009 Cross Country Championships held in Indiana. 

For Villanova women, this was their eighth cross country championship.  The top individual winner was Angela Bizzarri from Illinois with a time of 19:46. Villanova junior Amanda Marino was 6th with a time of 20:03.  Villanova's top four finishers were 6th, 12th, 20th, and 22nd, bringing in points for the team.


Oklahoma State men claimed their first victory since 1954 and Samuel Chelanga, the Liberty University junior, slaughtered the competition, winning the 10k race by 25 seconds.
