The annual McCormack Run as held in Lake Como, NJ on Sunday, August 22, 2010. For the runners it was a warm humid morning as they made their way around the course which wound through Lake Como 's tree lined streets and around the Lake Como. One runner as they finished was heard saying it felt like soup out there.
There was a diverse field of all ages - young and old at the event and everyone seemed to have a good time as they crossed the finish line.
Despite the humid conditions the participants got through the course with some decent times. Coming n first for the men was Joseph Mullen of Neptune, NJ in a time of 17:50. For the women it was Lindsay Tallman all the way from Tuckerton, NJ who finished in 21:11. Lindsay is coached by Barbara Brennan and she was elated with her win. Barbara a top runner in the area could not run because of a cast on her foot.
After the race runners gathered at Bar Anticipation for a barbecue and awards.
