Running gear is going green. Apparel and gear are using recycled materials and cutting manufacturing methods to produce items that are eco-friendly but still maintain the original purpose of providing runners with light, comfortable and wicking products. Major companies and up and coming companies alike are trying to appeal to the new trend of going green. Most packaging and sales tag are made of recycled materials as well.

Under Armour Catalyst Tee $30-A popular choice for race shirts. This shirt is made of 100% recycled polyester from recycled plastic bottles. This cutting edge material is sleek, lighweight and just a breathable as similiar shirts. The shirt comes in mens and womens specfic to each gender and their preferences. Wait... I think I'm missing something. How can a shoe that's made out of recycled plastic be biodegradable? It's one or the other, not both. Unless they've added a heavy metal to make the plastic break down. And then it's not biodegradable but oxodegradable. Do you know?
