National Run at Work Day

National Run at Work Day takes place the third Friday in September. The 4th annual National Run at Work Day takes place this year on Friday September 18, 2009. The event is promoted by RRCA; the Road Runner's Club of America.

According to the RRCA website; "The goal of National Run@Work Day is for RRCA members and individuals across the country to host community based events that encourage people to incorporate at least thirty-five minutes of walking or running into their daily lives."

 

Run at Work Day Details

  • Events can be hosted by individuals, runnings clubs or businesses
  • Events can be either running or walking
  • The event should last a minimum of 35 minutes
  • The event should take place during work hours, i.e. before work, during the lunch break, or immediately at the end of the work day.
