Edward Norton is navigating the final days of his marathon training for the upcoming New York City Marathon. He described the experience of training for a marathon, and raising money for the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust, on last night's 'Jimmy Kimmel Live.'

Norton tells Jimmy Kimmel that he has been doing "great" in his training, except for the last few weeks when he has been hobbled by shin pain. Norton also talks about the three Maasai warriors he will be running with, all of whom wear homemade running sandals made out of tires. Puma is sponsoring Norton and his crew for the marathon, and he jokes that the Maasai warriors won't have anything to do with running shoes.

Edward Norton also tried to introduce his Maasai friends to post-run yoga, which had mixed results. "They thought this was like a New Yorker mating ritual right here," says Norton as Jimmy Kimmel shows a picture of the group doing a yoga pose.

The New York City Marathon will be Norton's first 26.2-mile race. His journey to his first marathon has not been without setbacks, as he has suffered from painful shin problems and some nagging achilles trouble throughout his marathon training. Edward Norton completed a 21-mile training run as his final long run before the marathon.

The Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust promotes conservation, health services and education within the Maasai tribal lands in East Africa. As of October 21, 2009, Norton has raised $66,304 with more donations coming every day. Alanis Morissette and David Blaine are also running the New York City Marathon to raise money for the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust.

The New York City Marathon is held on November 1, 2009. A full video of Jimmy Kimmel's interview with Edward Norton is available on the Jimmy Kimmel Live website.
