Do you have trouble getting out the door and on a run? If so, this new running group may be for you. RunBoston and Lululemon have started a new monthly running group that will debut on Saturday, June 5th. The run is five miles long and will alternate between two courses, each ending at the Lululemon store in Harvard Square. The group will be lead by Jared Perrine and Abby Greshik, the founders of RunBoston.
The first running route will begin at the Lululemon store at the Prudential Center and end at the Lululemon store in Harvard Square. The second route starts and finishes at the Lululemon store in Harvard Square, where runners will be driven to the Fells Reservation in Medford for the five mile run. The group runs are free to join, and following each run the group is invited to Tommy Doyle's Pub in Harvard Square for brunch (extra cost - not included).
The pace is this running group is not specified, but based on information from the site, this group is ideal for recreational runners. It's good for people that want to meet other local runners, go for a group run, or train more consistently. However, this is likely not an ideal option for competitive runners that are interested in running at a faster pace or getting in a workout.
In either case, runners will be in good hands with Jared and Abby leading the way (the couple recently got married) - who are also running tour guides of Boston.
