It was all the Colorado Springs Grizzlies on Wednesday evening when a shorthanded Tigers Rugby Football Club made the trip from Broomfield for both teams’ final match of the season,
Colorado Springs scored eight trys (converted) in the first thirty minutes to take a 54-0 lead into the break. In the second half, it was more of the same as the Grizzlies raised their total to 108 before the Tigers found the try line for the first time. The final was 108-7.
Colorado Springs finishes their regular season 6-1 with their only loss coming at the hands of the State Tournament’s number one seed and defending 2009 State Champions, Denver East.
Colorado Springs will meet the yet to be determined number seven seed, the winner of the Promotion/Relegation Match, next Wednesday in the Quarter Finals.
