There's a tradition on Twitter called Follow Friday, where you post a hash tag (#followfriday or #ff) and list interesting people you follow and think others should follow. The only problem with Follow Friday is that in 140 characters it's difficult to explain who these people are (unless their Twitter user name is their own name, and they're well known) or why they should be followed.
