Gaming Survey for Psychological Research

Middle Tennessee State University

Quilt City Ogres posted an interesting study to the CAR-PGa forum and I thought it was worth sharing:

Michelle Drury from Middle Tennessee State University, Department of Psychology, is conducting a research study to further understand how gaming and social development interact with a survey. Ms. Drury explains in more detail the goal of the survey:

"My goal is to show that non-computer/non-console gaming (i.e., RPGs, tabletop games, CCGs, etc.) is beneficial to social development...I have two versions of the survey: for computer/console gamers, and for non-computer/non-console gamers. Obviously people do both, so I ask that people fill out the form based on what they predominantly engage in."

Drury said she needs about 3,000 at least of each filled out in order to be able to really have any basis of study, and she is floating around 10 percent.

There are two links, one for each of the above described types of gaming:

For more info: If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Michelle Drury via e-mail at mrd2w@mtsu.edu or contact Thomas Brinthaupt via e-mail at tbrintha@mtsu.edu or by phone at (615) 898-2317. You may also contact Leigh Gostowski with any concerns or questions about this investigation via e-mail at gostowsk@mtsu.edu.
