Kate Middleton at wedding / Mark Stewart
Prince William and Kate Middleton were spotted out and about this week at a wedding for Nicholas von Cutsem at which both Princes William and Harry were ushers. Kate arrived at the wedding in a car with three of William’s friends, while most of the guests walked to the wedding. Also of note was that she emerged from the van with four of William’s police bodyguards. As the Prince was walking Kate back down the aisle after the ceremony, one of his friends murmured “You’ll be next.” He is reaching the age where the majority of his friends are getting engaged and/or married so while engagement rumors are at a fever pitch (see next paragraph) it does stand to reason that it won’t be too long now. With the Queen’s summer invite to Balmoral she appears to have the family stamp of approval.
For your daily dose of Prince William engagement rumors...British tabloids are reporting this week that Prince William and Kate Middleton have agreed that they will be married. The couple has been privately discussing their future and have a common understanding that marriage is “in the cards” for them. An engagement announcement is a matter of ‘when’ not ‘if’. Also noted is that the tabloid reports that the couple would like to be married before the Diamond Jubilee in 2012 which will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Queen’s accession. Is any of this worth a grain of salt? No one is sure – always consider the source, in this case primarily News of the World.
