Just weeks after the Prime Minister of Holland refused to cut the royal budget because it would be ‘unfair,’ Queen Beatrix’s estimated wealth dropped by around 20 percent. This is the first time it is below the billion Euro mark. According to Netherland's Quote magazine's annual list, the royals' estimated wealth now stands at 800 million Euros, putting them in 25th place. In a shocking follow up to this story, the Queen’s press office actually offered a happy statement due to the news! It confirmed the family has less than one billion Euros in the bank, adding: "Every downward revision brings the estimate closer to the reality." The monarch’s current salary, which was the source of much debate by the government, is 834,000 Euros annually.
