Princess Aiko was spotted this week for the first time in quite a while. She participated in her school’s Autumn Athletic Festival, running a relay race. She was spotted with long braids flying in the wind as she ran, looking just like her father. She is the daughter of Crown Prince Naruhito and Crown Princess Masako and attends Gakushuin School in Tokyo. The Princess’ parents were in the stands with the other parents rooting on the kids. Her team was struggling until Aiko took the baton and ran so fast she closed the gap with the team in the lead. In the end she helped her team win the relay and her parents were there to congratulate her.
Aiko is the only child of the Crown Prince and Princess, and due to her gender, is not in line for the Chrysanthemum throne.
