Prince William gave a nice boost to an injured Centrepoint charity worker this week. The woman was attacked by a pit bull earlier this year and very seriously injured. Her recovery has not been easy, but was helped this week when the Prince sent a handwritten letter and a bouquet of flowers. The Prince is the patron of the charity she works for which provides accommodation, support, and information for homeless youth in London. A spokesperson for Centrepoint said: “Prince William very kindly sent Maureen a bunch of flowers and a letter wishing her well. As Centrepoint’s patron, Prince William is always actively involved and keen to support both staff and the young people that we support.”
British tabloid The Daily Star is reporting that Kate Middleton has started “princess classes.” She is reportedly being trained in all aspects of royal life including some of the financial and military aspects. Kate is already very close to Prince William’s advisors, from whom she has learned much. However, due to mistakes made in the past regarding Princess Diana and the Duchess of York, they are attempting to not make the same mistakes again. One senior aide stated: “Kate is going to be the best-prepared royal bride ever.” However, this all depends on one thing – what The Daily Star termed the “expected official announcement.”
On that topic, also out this weekend is that news that Prince William has ruled out a royal wedding next year due to his being “too busy”. On the agenda are official trips to Africa and Australia. Many royal watchers were already ruling out an engagement due to the pending engagement of Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall, but at this point – can’t we all just be honest and say, who knows?
