Lone Star Writing Competition

Friday, June 5 is the last call for entries into the Lone Star Writing Competition for romance writers. This prestigious contest, sponsored by the Northwest Houston chapter of Romance Writers of America, is open to RWA and non-RWA members. Unpublished writers may enter any category. Published writers may enter any category in which they are not published or in which they have not been contracted for five years.

The entry fee is $20 for NWHRWA members and $25 for non-NWHRWA members.

Entries must be postmarked no later than Friday June 5, 2009, and must arrive by June 12, 2009. Electronic entries must arrive by midnight June 5, 2009. Any entries received after the deadline will be returned unopened or deleted unopened.

Finalists will be announced on August 20, 2009 and winners will be announced at the Lone Star Conference, October 24, 2009, held in Houston (venue to be announced).
