The count for romance novels on the New York Times(NYT) best seller lists is down to 12 this week from only 15 on all three of the NYT lists combined three weeks ago. But holiday season hasn’t slowed down the queen of romance, Nora Roberts who boasts three novels on the NYT lists this week. Also notable, Carla Neggers’ novel, Cold River moved up, a rarity, on the NYT paperback best seller list, to 18th place from the 25th spot two weeks ago. Publishers Weekly listed a mere 6 romances and USA Today placed only 12 romance novels in their top 150. These romance best seller numbers are below the norm.
