It's going to be a busy few months if you live in the Triangle area and are interested in the romance genre! Here are the events not to miss:
On Saturday, January 14th, the Heart of Carolina Romance Writers will hold their monthly meeting at the Cameron Village Library in Raleigh at 1 p.m. This month's speaker is Sarah Winn and she will be talking about writing long sentences well. The first two HCRW meetings you attend are free-- after that, they ask that you join the group.
The next Lady Jane's Salon event will be Wednesday, January 25th at the Hibernian Pub in Cary. The event, which features readings from romance authors, will include authors Becky Moore, Marcia Colette, and Catherine Gayle.
February 12th (that's a Sunday) at 3 p.m., the Durham Public Library will host author and blogger Sarah Wendell. If you don't recognize her by that name, Sarah Wendell is Smart Bitch Sarah from Smart Bitches, Trashy Books. She's coming to the Southwest Regional branch library to read from her new book and answer questions. She'll also be doing a book signing.
Also at the Southwest Regional branch of the library, Sarra Cannon will present her workshop on self-publishing on Saturday, March 3 at 3 p.m.
Programs at the Durham County Library are free and open to the public.
