The Rolling Stones will mount a major world tour in 2010.

The news comes from Ronnie Wood’s girlfriend Ekaterina Ivanova.

The 21-year-old Russian cocktail waitress – who has been dating the 62-year old Stones’ guitarist since he left his 23-year marriage to Jo Wood in July 2009 – has apparently let the cat out of the bag prematurely.

A source told Britain’s The Sun newspaper: "She's not supposed to talk about it, things haven't been finalised but she couldn't resist telling a few friends."

Earlier this month, at the Classic Rock Awards, Ronnie Wood fueled Stones tour rumours by telling reporters the band had recently been hanging out together and discussed a reunion.

"It's all very good. I saw Mick and Charlie last week. Everything is great", Wood told Yahoo UK, before addressing plans for new live dates.

"Let's hope so, yeah", he said.

It’s unlikely Wood’s fellow bandmembers will be delighted that Ivanova has leaked the news, but it will certainly thrill Rolling Stones fans.

The Stones have not toured since their “A Bigger Bang Tour” which became the highest grossing tour of all time, earning $558,255,524.
