Kali Katt, aka Nicole Gochmanosky, is a local San Diego freelance writer and political activist who earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies at the University of San Diego in 2004. Writing as Nicole, she was published in college campus newspapers at the University of Redlands, University of San Diego, and Mesa College, and in The Beacon and The Beach and Bay Press - two publications for the San Diego Community Newspaper Group.
In 2007 she found roller derby with the San Diego Derby Dolls and picked up her roller derby, and pen, name, Kali Katt. Kali plays roller derby for the San Diego Derby Dolls off and on, and in the past has been a team member of San Diego’s Hard Corps and the Swarm. Kali has contributed roller derby articles to the Derby News Network, 619sports.net, Blood and Thunder Roller Derby Magazine, and Five on Five magazine. Kali has been the Southern CA Roller Derby Examiner since 2009.
