Roller derby in Cincinnati continues to move forward in 2012, The Cincinnati Battering Rams (men’s team) continues to train and acclimate to the sport. The Cincinnati Rollergirls season opens in twenty six days on the road in Grand Rapids, Michigan where they take on North Central Rival the Grand Raggidy Roller Girls. The Cincinnati Junior Rollergirls which began in July of 2011 (Junior roller derby begins in Cincinnati) are an impressive group of young ladies, who blow away everyone who watches them play. The Cincinnati Junior Rollergirls are preparing for their 2012 Winter Season, and are looking for some great new skaters to join them.
If you are a parent, relative, friend or otherwise know of any girl aged 8-17 who would like to play roller derby don't let her pass up this opportunity. Skaters will learn about teamwork and leadership they also have opportunity to make new friends all while getting great exercise and having fun. Regular practice for the Cincinnati Junior Roller Girls will begin on Monday, Jan. 9th at The Skatin' Place, located at 3211 Lina Place, Cincinnati, OH 45239. This season the junior team may get the chance to skate to skate during halftime of 2012 Cincinnati Rollergirls games at the Cincinnati Gardens!

Cost: $80 for the full season due on the first day of practice or $50 due first practice and $50 due fifth practice. Season fee helps cover the cost of rink rental for 10 practices and uniforms.
What to bring: Helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards, mouth guard and quad roller skates (no inlines). Quad skates will be available for rental at no additional cost.
