This Examiner.com column is the first media outlet anywhere to report this breaking news story:

Sources at the FBI have told Examiner.com that the federal law enforcement agency will declassify Michael Jackson's FBI files, and that the agency will make them available to the public within thirty-six to forty-eight hours.

Michael Jackson's FBI file contains 679 pages that were reviewed by the government agency. 333 pages will be released, leaving 343 pages of the late pop star's file to remain classified information. Those pages will remain secret.

The still classified documents about Michael Jackson consist of six files, the FBI told Examiner.com.

The FBI processed ninety-five classifications. The file emanating from FBI headquarters consists of several small files. There are seven files that comprise Michael Jackson's FBI documents.

The main FBI file for Michael Joseph Jackson is file number HQ 1148159. The Quantico file number is 252B-1R-6808. The LEGAT London file is 62-DLO-1179. The rest of Michael Jackson's FBI files are Los Angeles files. Their corresponding file numbers are 9A-LA-142276, 62-D-LA-236081, 62D-LA162715, 305B-LA-239204.

Sources at the FBI told Examiner.com that although they hope to have the file declassified by Tuesday, December 22, whether it will ultimately be done by that date is still not yet confirmed.

Due to the large number of requests that have been made to declassify Michael Jackson's files, the documents, compiled by FBI, will be made available via the internet. Michael Jackson's FBI file will be available for viewing online at the FBI's website when it is released.

Those wanting to read the MIchael Jackson FBI file will be able to view it when it is released by accessing it online.

The FBI does not keep files on every citizen. However, the FBI has jurisdiction over crimes that consist of more than 200 categories of federal laws, including crimes against children.

Jackson died on June 25, 2009 in Los Angeles County, and was pronounced dead at UCLA Medical Center.

Law enforcement agents have been investigating allegations that Jackson had been consuming painkillers, sedatives and antidepressants that may have contributed to his death at age 50. Law enforcement agencies including the federal Drug Enforcement Administration and California Attorney General Jerry Brown are helping Los Angeles police officers investigate the possible involvement of prescription drugs in Jackson's death.

Phyllis, I see you removed my comment and the lying fools comments I was responding to which is o.k., as long as you removed their comments too. your article states that Law enforcement agents have been investigating allegations that the Jackson had been consuming painkillers, sedatives and antidepressants that may have contributed to his death at age 50." This is incorrect information, law enforcement already know what killed Michael Jackson which they have already learned from the autopsy report, The only drugs Michael had in his system were the ones the Doctor administered to him. They are, according to them investigating how to proceed with this case, making sure there are no loopholes in which the murderous Doctor can use to get off. So far the "FOOL" won't be able to say Michael was abusing drugs because there were non found in his system. However, they are investigating other Doctors to see if Michael's death was due to one Doctor or a combination of several doctors over time.

Paula, Hi.Not entirely sure what your comment is trying to say. However, you say that there were no drugs found in Jackson's system. That is incorrect. The autopsy did uncover needle marks all over Jackson’s arms.Jackson’s death was ruled a homicide due to “acute Propofol intoxication.”However, many other drugs, including Midazolam, Diazepam, Lidocaine and Ephedrine were also found in Jackson’s system, even though doctors aren’t supposed to mix the Propofol with the other benzodiazepines. Thus far, no charges have been filed against Jackson’s personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, although investigators are reportedly still gathering evidence regarding the case. However, Jackson successfully did go out of his way to obtain several such drugs during his life. This has been well-established.I agree with you on the legal loopholes. It will be a long, drawn out trial. Yes, I could have added Murray into the story, but we all already knew about him already.I was trying not to repeat the obvious.

LET'S JUST IN THIS DRUG WAR RIGHT NOW.he had a lethal amounts of propofol and all types of sedatives in his body.not ilegal drugs.
he wasn't eaxctly a drug junkie.he just took to propofol n a non-hospital setting.which his gave to him of suggestion so he could fall to sleep faster.
but,he went to sleep longer than he had planned.
i just wish we could stop with all the mess and let him rest.

There is so much different stories about MJ's addiction to prescription drugs and his death. Of course conspiracy emerges.

I just watched a documentary where many people stated that MJ had an addiction but there was no help for him. Attending rehab clinics which did not work and efforts to help him which was too late. MJ's life was in Dr Murray's hand.
I dont view him differently because of his addiction, I respect him for being a person. He was human afterall which all of us are and not untouched by emotion and feelings.

I think we should remember his good works and efforts and entertainment which was imaginative and creative. He loved the arts of many artists which he sought and combined to give us many excellent shows.

The truth will come out because there are loop holes.

MJ was not a "junkie" yes he may have had a problem with prescription meds and yes he may have went about trying to get some rest the wrong way but he was far from a drug addict! The only drugs found in his system were the ones conrad murray admitted to giving him that night/day! And why bring up "crimes against children" everyone knows those kids lied all they wanted was money! Unless the FBI releasing this info is going to help the death investigation I don't understand why it is being released! I do believe something need to remain private!

Phyllis, what I meant is that according to the autopsy report, Michael had no illegal, legal or alcohol in his system other than what the Doctor gave him, therefore the LAPD in light of this information is not investigating if Michael was abusing prescription drugs. At one time Michael was addicted to prescription drugs which he admitted to years ago, not now, he may have used prescription drugs now but he was not abusing them. I don't believe this is going to be a long drawn out court battle, the evidence is clear who is responsible. Unlike others who have died from self-inflicted drug overdose. The Dr. administered these drugs in an unprofessional and unethical manner. He treated Michael like a client rather than a patient thus by-passing all the protections given to a patient when administering medical assistance, ie, exams, diagnosis than prescription. This man was so unethical and greedy he did whatever it took to get money including giving a patient anesthetic as a sleep agent

Sorry Phyllis didn't completely answer your question but all the drugs you list were all the drugs which the Doctor administered to him also the needle marks were fresh needles marks which is believed to have also been made by the Doctor trying to revive Michael. Remember too the the Doctor had been administering Michael drugs for over six weeks. All of the drugs you mentioned were administered intravenously by the Doctor.
