Godsmack's Shannon Larkin and Rillo
Kansas City fans of Godsmack have yet another reason to rejoice. Not only will they have a chance to see their favorite band perform at next week’s Crue Fest they also have a chance to meet one of its members.
With ears still ringing from the night before, Godsmack faithful can introduce themselves to the band’s drummer Shannon Larkin. He will be signing autographs at Big Dude's Music City Monday, August 10th @ 3 p.m. to promote his new clothing brand: Werd Wear.
Though Werd Wear clothing & apparel line officially launched this summer it has been years in the making. Larkin met designer Patrick Murillo “Rillo” while on the Faceless tour and the two have been incommunicado ever since. After Rillo printed a few shirts for Larkin using one of his favorite text sign offs, “werd”, the idea of a clothing line was hatched.
Cynics may dismiss the clothing line as another celebrity attempting to cash in on their name. There is nothing further from the truth. Larkin and Rillo are simply bringing cool designs to the metal masses using a grassroots style and wicked designs that generate buzz. Whether you go for the wears or not, no self respecting music fan should pass up a chance to hang with a member of their favorite band.
