What's the mystery car that V-Vehicle will build?
When the big auto makers stumble it means there is room in the market place for the new and innovative car makers.
At least that's what the New V-Vehicle Company (VVC) is hoping as it announced plans to build a new range of fuel efficient car in Monroe, Louisiana.
VVC, which is partially backed by oil man turned environmentalist T. Boone Pickens, announced that it would create new 1400 jobs to build the mystery cars.
“We’re trying to be protective of the things we need to be (because of potential competition),” said Varazano, the project’s visionary and former executive vice president of Oracle Corp. “We want to tell you about the car and distribution system all at once.
According to the the newsstar.com:
"Gov. Bobby Jindal and economic development Secretary Stephen Moret said they know enough to commit $67 million toward the project from the state’s mega fund and more than $12 million in work force training with the Fast Start program.
“We’re here to announce an opportunity to transform the entire American auto industry and the economy of northeastern Louisiana,” the governor said. “The concept is amazing and the team behind the company is first class.”

"Ron Paul was Right!" ;-)
We should have just let GM & Chrysler fold up to make room for new innovative companies financed by private investors to fill in the gap.
We could have saved how many TRILLIONS of $$$???
Yeah right because they can figure out what Honda Toyota and Ford can't, they will be about as successful as the Tesla....
I just saw this V-Vehicle article in my Wii news... I enjoyed the article, and went right to my PC to check it out some more. First off, I wanted to see what it looks like. No where. I am guessing they are trying to hype the hell out of this?
Anyways, here are main factors to creating a successful new car.... you older folk designing these hybrids don't seem to get the picture.
1) It has to look GOOD. Look at the hybrid Honda, why did it fail? That's right, everyone I talk to says, "Man, that thing looks wack!" Don't make it look boxy or round *TRYING* to look all high tech. You fail when you do this.
2) Price. All these hybrid cars are not only ugly to most consumers, they are TOTALLY not worth buying. Yeah, you save money on gas, but you're paying out the wazoo for the car.Quit trying to make SO MUCH! Price it RIGHT! For US by us!
And the Tesla failed on the 2nd part...who has that much money? Let's be real, make a car EVERYONE can buy, you will SELL more. Common sense
Flim-flam thats the only first class dealt behind the new V-Vehicle Company (VVC). Gullible Louisiana.
This is so cool.. a new car company.. can't wait to see the mystery vehicle!
Tesla has far from failed! They are expanding as we speak!
Looks like the Louisiana taxayers and some big investors are being taken for a ride. There's too much hype about what the company will be and no prototypes. Where is the mystery V-Vehicle prototype? They should at least have some conceptual drawings. $67 million from Louisiana taxpayers and nothing to show for it.
I've been to the company HQ. This is far from flim-flam. Its advisable not to ignore a venture founded by Frank Verasano - he has a reputation for success. The vehicle is very innovative.
By Gas powered , i think they mean Natural Gas, not gasoline.
Our country has plenty of natural gas , so much that there is little room to store it all.
An added benefit is that Bio Methane can be made right here at home, look up anaerobic digester to find out more.
Remember you heard it here first.
Where is the infrastructure to refuel these cars?
Got something to say?
