It was something out of a Hollywood movie...a runaway Prius doing over 90 mph while dodging other cars and perhaps a fiery crash.
But as you may recall from THIS CNN story and video it wasn't a movie at all...it was the real life experience of a 61-year-old runaway Prius driver.

But how hard is it to really stop a runaway Prius that's similar to the one that recently ran away in California?
I put a similar Prius to an unscientific test and tried to make it runaway, and more importantly tried to make it stop.

Yawn.
That only shows how a normal functioning car can be stopped. Don't you think a CHP officer would be smart enough to take a car out of gear and apply the brakes to stop??
