Does this GoDaddy commercial reinforce stereotypes? Photo: Youtube.com
Does Danica Patrick's banned GoDaddy Super Bowl Ad reinforce gay stereotypes?
That seems to be the question, especially after some of the youtube comments the commercial has gotten.
"Thankyou america for making fun of the gays, there always fun to laugh? at! lol"
Was it banned because it portrays a former football player as stereotypically gay?
Is it hard to believe that Danica Patrick would make this commercial after getting so much heat from transgendered activist for her Boost Mobile Motorola commercial that some transgendered activist found highly offensive?
You decide. You can watch that commercial HERE.
The saying goes that there is no such thing as bad publicity...or something like that..but this banned GoDaddy Super Bowl ad may just prove that saying wrong.

I am so horrified... how could she do this? It is much better to have commercials with rape, stabbing, shooting, choking, sawing, torturing and sex than an ad like this...
how could they do this? I am shocked, absolutely shocked.
it is absolutely ridiculous to be bothered by this... come on... it wasn't all that funny or anything but jeez.... that was banned? we are losing are ability to laugh at ourselves.... gay comedians and my gay friends make fun of straight stereotypes... it is healthy and a way of bonding....
It was made hoping it would be banned...great PR...scheme.
Godday has made tons of commercials over the years that have been rejected. ALL of them- ALL of them- have been great for the company. Looking at the past 5 years you'll see that they are provoking and poking fun at government, norms, and even stereotyping. Godaddy ads sell using scantily dressed females. They are viral. Sex sells. This is not sex. Millions tune in every year to view the "banned" ads. Celebrate "virtual Lola's" success and that TG are being portrayed as participants in the American Dream. Admire the advertisers return on investment. In other words, lighten up.
