Daschle can't take tax cheat heat

Tom Daschle has withdrawn his nomination to be Health and Human Services secretary.

President Obama's nomination of Daschle has been in trouble since it was disclosed Daschle, like  Treasury Secretary Geithner failed to pay taxes.

Daschle's tax problems didn't bother Obama or Democrats who rallied to the defense of the former leader of the Senate Democrats.

The tide turned against Daschle after Nancy Killefer withdrew as Obama's nominee to be chief performance officer. Killefer's withdrawal left a strong impression that Obama favors male tax cheats over female tax cheats.
