You need this: Wet n Wild Megalast Nail Polish

If you're like a lot of women, you probably love the look of glossy painted fingernails -- but you don't bother with painting your own nails very often because it just smears or chips within an hour. Few things are more annoying than painting your nails, admiring the color -- then watching the polish chip as soon as you cook dinner or put on earrings. The oils in fingernails cause nail polish to break down (hence the chips and smudges), so manicure happiness is always just out of reach for those of us who don't have artificial nails or tips. Before you give up on the notion of pretty painted nails however, you might want to try the new Megalast Nail Polish by Wet n Wild.

The formula of this polish is thick and tends to dry in a few minutes. Because the formula is thicker, less is more and once it dries, it sticks. Here's the bottom line-- I wore it for three days without it chipping or smudging. Three. Days. On the fourth day, it needed light touch ups here and there but it was still going strong! After a few days, I even stopped being careful. Usually when I paint my nails, I wander around like a fairy with super delicate touch, fearful of ruining my manicure. While wearing this stuff, I dusted the bedroom, cleaned the bathroom and wore it to work in retail for two nights straight. And there were no chips, no smudges. Now that's some nail polish that isn't kidding around. It should be noted that I did apply a top coat (I always do), but it was just the basic top coat by Wet n Wild that sells for one dollar. With or without a top coat, however, this formula held up much better for me in the real world. It surpassed the performance and wear of Essie and OPI by a landslide, and isn't goopy like Revlon polishes tend to be. I never thought I'd say this, but I may be breaking up with OPI.

You will probably also like the new brush that comes with this polish. It's very wide and flat so with one dip, the bristles kind of fan out and lay the polish on your nail without the need of redipping two and three more times. It also applies the polish cleanly and smoothly without getting polish on your fingers. I love this brush and based on the reviews I've seen, I'm not the only one!

All in all, this is a great polish. It's sturdy, clean, pretty, and it sells for less than two dollars -- you can't beat that. There aren't a ton of colors available yet but we're hoping that Wet n Wild will give us more once they see how much people like the polish. For a pretty pop of pink, try Candy-licious or for classic red, pick up I Red a Good Book. If you want a fun color, try the already-popular I Need a Refresh-Mint which resembles the famous Tiffany and Co. blue. You can grab these babies up any drugstore or discount store. Don't forget to top it with some kind of top coat, and enjoy your fabulous nail color!
