Watch out knitters! Beautiful yarn is coming to your door step all over Los Angeles!
The passion for knitting is what brought them together at a Tuesday night knitting group and what triggered the idea of starting a business that is all about yarn, needle arts, knitting and crocheting.
Today Los Angeles business women Maridee Nelson and Barba Pushies are proud owners of YARNOVER, a mobile boutique for those addicted to creating amazing things with yarn and needles. A used Chevrolet P30 Step Van got a total make over and has been revamped with white floor-to-ceiling shelves and skylights. The result is an eye catching mobile business, the blue Yarnover Truck, filled with awesome hand-dyed California yarns including custom colors, patterns, and material for needle art education, featuring products from vendors like Anzula Luxury Fibers in Fresno. Patterns are supplied by local knitwear designers and knitting accessories by a variety of specialty companies.
Since July 5th 2012 the truck tours the city and Southern California, appearing at local events such as street fairs, craft fairs, art and music festivals, food truck events and Farmers Markets. In addition the Yarnover Truck hosts its own events and is available for hire for private parties.
Yarnover is represented on Facebook and on Twitter, by joining the Yarnover mailing list fellow knitters can opt in to be kept posted about future truck stops and events.
