Wild Cat Strike's self titled album is a strong and well put together Indie Rock album.
The opening track (entitled: 'Full Denim Jacket') fires in tough through ambient sounds with a huge rock production that includes jittery piano tinklings, multiple guitars, and building drums. The lyrics seem to be tilted on battle- firing off a very distinct mood right from the get-go.
The track "Billy Crystal" introduce us to a more melancholy Wildcat Strike, with a very refined and subtle production- and even a whistling bridge!
As if to make up for being so pretty, the next track (entitled: 'Sting Like a Bee') stings back with upbeat grungy guitar and lyrics shouted in the rugged and ragged style of Issac Brock about love (using boxing analogies).
Overall the album is very solid in it's flow and statement. This isn't just a collection of songs, it's an album with special attention payed to song order and transition between moods.
