Are you in need of a day off? Need some relaxation? Or do you just need a deep massage? Nestled inside Santana Row in San Jose, CA, is this secluded oasis of a gem. This isn't just any day spa, once you enter it will take you to another time in and place (at least for a few hours) of relaxation. I was lucky enough to experience this Day spa on an Employee Team building day a month ago.
You can make reservations online or you can visit their spa in person. Once you pick and book your spa treatment you will receive a welcoming invite with your date and time reserved. There are many options to choose from such as:
- Massage
- Skin Care
- Nail Care
- Spa Bath
- A Day at the spa
- Chiropractic
Getting there was a bit difficult if you have never been to Santana Row as it's nestled upstairs in between the Valencia Hotel. Once you enter, you immediately are welcomed by the reception desk and ushered inside.
The hostess walks you through the a living room area with plush couches that you are welcome to relax on, as you pass the quiet room into the ladies locker room. The ladies locker room features:
- Private Spa Tub
- Showers
- Steam room
- Sauna
- Private Lockers
- Large bathroom area with Blow dryers for your hair
- Shampoo, Towels and Soap
Once you arrive to your locker, you are given a large soft robe and comfortable therapeutic slippers to walk around. It's advised to come early and take advantage of all the amenities given and relax before your massage or treatment.
You are welcome to:
- Fresh Fruit
- Flavored Water
- Fresh Lemonade
You can sit in the spa for as long as you want and are treated to fresh cold towels to cool off and fresh water in a chilled bucket of ice. The locker room is completely private and you given the freedom to walk about the facility to relax. Before you know it, time has passed and its now time for your massage.
The massage is fantastic in a private room with a Certified Massage Therapist. Before you know it, your time is up and its time to go home. You are still welcome to stay, get back in the hot tub and leave your cares at the door.
Tip: Book a reservation during the week to avoid crowds on the weekends.
Average pricing goes from $80 - up depending on the treatment you pick. A massage will run you $130 or you can join and become a member and pay monthly. They have 9 locations in California.
Burke Spa, isn't cheap, but well worth a day at the spa.
