Wally spent a great deal of time on Youtube over the years enjoying all kinds of
great and entertaining videos, tutorials or simply watching video game walkthroughs.
His biggest gripe with the online platform wasn't that it had become completely overloaded with commercials, (since that was the main way Youtube earned it's keep
allowing millions of viewers to enjoy the service for free) but that there was no way
of complaining or praising the advertising companies, depending on whether the
commercials were good or bad.
It would have also been fun to have an option of stopping the bad or awful commercials
from ever being played again. He would have liked his personal account to be able to keep track of all of the negative commercials so that one would never have to sit through the same garbage twice.
This kind of system would be extremely helpful both for the viewers and the commercial
companies. Both would have a great deal to profit from such a kind of option being added to the Youtube interface. The viewers would finally get the chance to see more variation in the adds displayed as well as play an important role in their overall improvement.
The advertising companies would ultimately get free reviews from every Youtube user making it easier for them to understand their customers opinions about their adds as well as know how to enhance them.
There would need to be a button for never show this add again, one for I am busy right now watching something else so please play it later, (skip add). One for wow this add was amazing and a last one for people who actually really wanted to take the time to write a review for the commercial.
Those interested in writing a proper and constructive review would get rewarded for their time and paid through Paypal or by other means making the site far more interactive for users and companies alike.
Currently Waldo felt that Youtube was doing a poor job of catering commercials to him specifically as a user and was bored to death by having to watch the same terrible adds, that not only did not speak to him but distracted him from his overall online experience.
As always Wally would love to hear back from you about what you think about this
highly controversial topic.
Until next time Wally fans!!!
