His book has been on the bestseller for two decades. This book was very informative and motivational. Packed with well-researched educational information on how to stay healthy, lose weight and maintain optimum health. This book includes tons of delicious juicing recipes, which not only taste good, but they are healthy and they will help you lose weight and maintain optimum health too.
Michael T. Murray, N.D book, "The Complete Book of Juicing," gave me the insights to understanding the importance of juicing. Murray taught me from his book that the surest path to health and energy, strong bones and beautiful skin begins with a diet rich in natural foods such as whole grains, legumes, fruits and vegetables. Especially important on this road to health are the fresh fruits and vegetable juices. Fresh juices provide vital proteins, carbohydrates, essential fatty acids vitamins, minerals and other nutrients critical to good health all in one serving.
In this book, Murray teaches the reader why juicing is important, how to start, what fruits and vegetables are most important to consume for optimum health and which vegetables and fruits can help cure certain medical conditions. Throughout his book, he provides you with facts and well-informed research that changes the way we view juicing and motivates us to try to make juicing a part of our daily lifestyle.
An interesting factor Murray states in his book is that oxidative damage is the cause for aging and is linked with cancer, heart disease, cataracts, Alzheimer’s disease, arthritis and virtually every other chronic degenerative disease. As you continue reading in chapter 3, Murray explains how juicing is a great way to heal the body and ward off sickness. Then as you enter chapter 5 Murray talks about all the medical benefits each fruit and vegetables has to offer us. This very informative chapter has a lot to offer the reader. It explains why it is vital that we consume many different types of fruits and vegetables and how easy it is to consume all these vital nutrients through juicing.
In chapter 7, half way into the book, beginning on page 188, Murray not only discusses vital juicing is to our health he takes it a step further by showing you how by providing you with endless juicing recipes that are not only beneficial to the body, but they are delicious as I have tried several myself. The book is clear, concise, and easy to follow.
He continues to explain how you can use juicing as a medicine and he provides you with juicing recipes for specific common conditions. This was an excellent chapter because it even showed you how to add fresh herbs and spices to provide your body with additional health benefits. In the end of the book, he provides you with common question and answer section to provide you with any unanswered questions that may have developed during your read.
I enjoyed how the book provides you with excellent knowledge, powerful tools and techniques to stay healthy and maintain optimum health. As the book unfolds, you surprisingly begin to see how you can achieve and maintain optimum health all through juicing.
Michael Murray’s book is an excellent book. It is packed with phenomenal knowledge, advice, facts, and recipes and easy-to -follow guide. I found this book to be informative, motivating and was enjoyable to read. This book may be just what the doctor ordered for anyone who has a quest to stay healthy and maintain optimum health. I recommend this book to others.
