Web Review: Revisiting Super Teacher Worksheets

In this Web Review, we revisit a previously featured site to keep it on your radar.

Super Teacher Worksheets started in 2007 and is primarily geared toward K-5 students as a website "dedicated to providing the high-quality, educational materials for students." It is now a combination of "Free" and "Member" resources for teachers. Parents, tutors, and others who work with students may also finds these resources helpful.

If you are interested in purchasing a membership, it will cost you $19.95 for a year from the date of purchase (a full 365 days). As far as memberships go, STW is comparably priced. Currently, there is only one level of membership, which means members have full access to the site's resources.

If you are not interested in purchasing a membership, there are selected resources available to non-members free of charge. These resources are designated by a highlighted "Free" notation next to the title. "Member" resources are available to preview, which may help guests decide whether they want to purchase a membership.

Super Teacher Worksheets is brightly colored and easy to navigate. Resources are primarily organized by content area or domain. They are also broken down into more specific categories. When you move throughout the website, suggestions are provided that will link you to additional materials. The majority of the materials provided are in *.pdf format, so you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader in order to view or print them.

The worksheets provided have clear instructions, student-friendly fonts, and often include answer keys to ease the grading process. Don't let the name fool you; this site is not just worksheet after worksheet. The site also includes "Teacher Helpers," Smart Board lessons, Promethean Flipcharts, flash cards, and printable games.

Check out Super Teacher Worksheets when you have a few extra minutes online - you may find some of the materials you have been looking for and without the hassle!
