What can I say love makes the world go round. Even when R (Nicholas Hoult) a zombie, but a zombie that doesn't remember just how he became one. He and his friend M (Rob Corddry) are out traveling for food . Julie (Teresa Palmer) and her friends are doing the same but are also looking for medicine. They are not zombies. Julie's boyfriend is Perry (Dave Franco) but if you at the two together you would wonder why. Now both groups end up in a store together and R attacks Perry. Eating his brains allows him to see some of Perry's past. R sees how much Perry had loved Julie. R takes Julie to his airplane where he lives. The two at first are very weary of each other. R is fine the next morning for food he had taken some of Perry's brain to eat later but Julie wakes up hungry and R has to go look for the living food. M is upset with the fact that R is showing Julie so much attention. In his mind the living are only good for eating.
Julie and R take off and try to have some fun. They run into some bonies but some zombies are intermixed with the group. They notice Julie and R holding hands and they are bewildered but they let the two pass. Julie and R settle down for the night and it has been raining and she asks R to lie next to her to keep her warm. In the meantime Zombies are starting to feel a again. They don't know what it is but they like. Julie takes off when R is asleep and runs out of gas. R wakes up to find her gone and is depressed. He vows to never feel again but he can't seem to get away from it. Julie ends up with her family again but will R go looking for her. Well your going to have to finish watching the film. Look this is a simple tale of love. Director Jonathan Levine shows that love can come in many forms. Even zombies and humans can learn to love each other. It is an enjoyable story so sit back watch this form of love story. Enjoy.
