If you have thin, fine hair you have probably tried tons of products to boost it up. My own hair is so thin that when I dress up for special occasions, I add in hair pieces. I have tried all kinds of products like conditioners and root lifting products.
The people at L’Oréal Professionnel recently launched a new product called Volumetry, and sent it to me for a test drive. Volumetry works by addressing the issues of thin hair like weakness, oily build-up and dryness.
Volumetry repairs and boosts hair three ways. First Intra-Cylane, a patented technology works to densify the hair. It acts as a filler to boost the fiber structure to give it lift and body. Secondly, salicylic acid (the stuff in a lot of acne skincare products) removes oily build on the scalp. Lastly, Volumetry uses hydra light technology to condition the hair without weighing it down.
I used the shampoo, conditioner and the dry shampoo. I was a little concerned about the salicylic acid adversely affecting my blonde highlights, but it actually enhanced them. It gave my hair more body and made it softer. Now it has become part of my regular haircare routine. I am also a regular user of dry shampoos and the Powder Refreshing Spray works as dry shampoo and also as a hair texturized. Products include Volumetry Shampoo, Volumetry Conditioner, Volumetry Root Spray and Volumtrey Powder Fresh SOS Refreshing Spray $19 - $25.50.
The line also includes an in-salon service (similar to a blowout treatment) called Volumceutic. The treatment provides you with full body that lasts up to 3 days and costs around $26. Visit www.lpsalons.com for participating salons near you.
