She also wants to investigate her brother’s death which she believes may not have been an accident.
Curtis Ireland recently lost his sister Gina and now has custody of his little niece. He is suspicious about her death too, especially since Gina and Ben knew each other. Amy and Curtis team up to investigate, when someone tries to kill them, will they discover the truth? Find out in Rosemary Cottage book two of the “Hope Beach” series by Colleen Coble.
I really enjoyed this book. It’s a wonderful combination of mystery and romance. I had some trouble at first getting involved in the story but once I did I really enjoyed it. I felt invested in the mystery along with Amy and Curtis. I wanted to find out the truth and at certain points I believed I had, as it turned out I was only partially right for the most part.
I particularly enjoyed the setting of the series. Coble is very descriptive and it was easy to picture it. It is a place I would love to visit.
How well do we truly know the people we love is a major theme in this book. Both Amy and Curtis think they know their sibling well, but as they investigate they discover things they never knew.
On the whole this is an intriguing mystery. I give it four and a half out of five stars.
