One of the attributes of Meiwah Restaurant is that the venue is quite attractive. Occupying a spacious area with multiple rooms and even a outdoor patio, the tables are clean and the artwork is tastful. Too many Chinese restaurants have become overly casual, with generic decor and bland food. Meiwah does not have this problem. Clean and elegant, it is a great place to enjoy tasty Chinese food that is not over-priced.
Featuring a large menu with Chinese delicacies as well as sushi, it is certain that there is something for everyone. Be sure to order everything family style...there are too many great items to not share.
Start with an order of the Dumplings. Choose from steamed or fried; the wontons are savory and filling, and served with a warm, salty dumpling sauce. The Seaweed Salad is also delicious, tangy, crunchy, and sweet and also packed full of nutrients.
For entrees, get the Singaore Rice Noodles. Each bite brings an explosion of flavor into your mouth. The flavor combination of warm curry, spicy ginger, nutty sesame, and sweet peppers is utterly satisfying. The Pan-Fried Szechuan Green Beans are also not to be skipped over. These crunchy noodles are drenched in a delicious sweet and spicy sauce. Be sure to also sample the Kung Fu Tofu as well, pan fried crispy tofu is topped with crunchy peanuts, water chestnuts, green onions, and a rich marinade made with soy sauce, szechuan peppercorn, chili peppers, and sesame oil. The Fried Rice and Eggplant in Garlic Sauce are also good choices. Be sure to check the specials list, the Chef often features asparagus dishes which are excellent. Most entrees are between $10-$15.
