Electronic legend Vince Clarke of Erasure visited Austin, Texas on October 11 and performed a special DJ set at The Belmont. Vince went on stage after Depeche Mode had finished their set at the Austin City Limits Music Festival on Friday. Martin Gore and Andrew Fletcher of Depeche Mode stopped by The Belmont to watch Vince Clarke's set. Simon Gallup of The Cure was also spotted in the crowd. Examiner was lucky enough to receive a kiss on the cheek from Fletch as he left the dance floor.
The Black and White Years were the opening act for Vince Clarke. Before the show, Vince held a meet and greet for the biggest fans of his musical work. Vintage Moog synthesizers were on display in the bar area, courtesy of Switched On. Check out our exclusive Examiner slideshow to see Martin and Andy in the crowd, watching Vince performing on stage.
