Villa Locatelli, Pinot Bianco, Friuli, Italy, 2011 is bright golden yellow. The nose is filled with lemon and lime peel with tropical fruits and wet stones and fresh cut flowers. The palate closely follows the nose with peach and cut grass adding to the complexity of the mouth feel. The back end has nice acidity, which leads to a short crisp finish. Villa Locatelli, Pinot Bianco would work great with lighter seafood and shellfish, I would use a splash of the wine to make a sauce for these dishes, so you may need two bottles. The acidity will also cut through richer preparations if you add some cream to your sauce.
