A surprising detour from the darker themed, bass heavy offerings of South Florida's rising talent, Ft. Lauderdale emcee Hero hits the net with his latest visual "Charlie Brown." A definite summer jam, the track draws the audience away from the typical late night club scene feeling to a lighter, more "midday hotel pool party" situation, very familiar to locals and visitors of the bottom of the map. All encompassing, the video itself is very crisp, professionally shot, and would make anyone wish they could trade in their jeans and tee for trunks and bikini's, and a round of "Call a Cab's" from Wet Willie's. Lyrically, Hero bounces around the beat, switching flows and tones with ease, and proving that not all rappers have to tote weapons, pop pills and brag about the ends they don't have to make a hit. It's no wonder why after his appearance on 106 & Park, he was invited back to perform in the network's "Rap It Up" road tour. Hip hop fans are looking for something different, and Hero is providing just that.
