If only Vampirina Ballerina were a real live girl and not just the cute illustrations by Uyen Pham, you would definitely want to hug her to death because she's so cute. Yes, she’s that irresistible.
Vampirina Ballerina wants to be a ballerina so bad that she takes an evening class at just the right ballerina school. She must remember to keep her mouth closed and not to show her fangs, or make mistakes since she can turn into a bat. Vampirina Ballerina must practice, practice and practice, so she will be perfect for her debut performance, which she will be when the audience throws roses at Vampirina Ballerina and shout “Bravo!”
Although Vampirina Ballerina lives in a gothic house, sleeps in a coffin, her parents are vampires and she has a black cat no one will be able to resist her gothic charms. So curl up with a spider web blanket and read Vampirina Ballerina to your own little vampires, which is recommended for children between the ages of two through six. It’s gruesomely bewitching.
The jacket illustration by “Mistress of the Night” who LeUyen Pham refers to herself is cool with the tombstones, Vampirina Ballerina and the bats. For more information regarding Pham, please visit her website at www.leuyenpham.com.
