Whether it's the afterglow of celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday or the solid performances in the video, the version of "How Great Thou Art" done by Carrie Underwood and Vince Gill is an uplifting and possibly tear-inducing experience.

YouTube seems to be racing to keep up with the number of Internet hits. It was at 1.5 million at approximately 6 a.m. (US EST time) this morning and climbing after being posted just three days ago.

Underwood and Gill appeared together in the "2011 ACM Girls Night Out: Superstar Women of Country" concert, which aired on Friday April, 22, 2011 on CBS. The duo drew a standing ovation from the audience for their performance of "How Great Thou Art.". Underwood has sung this classic hymn in concerts before and it has been captured in videos dating back to 2008, but she freely admits to Gill and the audience before she sings that it's going to be tough to get through it this time.

Despite her fears, Carrie Underwood's performance is genuinely directed toward praising God for how great He is and draws the audience into this song of worship and adoration. Gill is equally adept at the guitar solo in the middle of the song and provides solid harmony to back up Underwood's singing.
