'Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Part 1' DVD review

Saturday 11th, 2012 marks the beginning of the end for the "Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn". Part one of the two part ending will arrive at stores across the country and 'tweens will be standing in line waiting for their turn to purchase their favorite fairy tale.

Edward, (Robert Pattinson) and Bella (Kristen Stewart), finally walk down the aisle and become man and wife. The wedding was absolutely beautiful with Bella in her incredible wedding gown and Edward in a Victorian style tux. The wedding and reception are incredibly filmed with the vows and the action of the dancing and reveling. This is the first part of what is essentially a three-part story.

Edward takes Bella to Rio for their honeymoon. Actually, the couple had their own private island with a beautiful house right on the sand. Typical honeymoon activities take place such as; swimming, playing chess, fun and games at a waterfall and some fun and games elsewhere.

Before the trip is over, Bella makes a shocking discovery, she's pregnant and the baby is growing at an alarming rate. Edward is horrified and takes Bella back to Forks, so his family can figure out what is happening to his new bride. This is the end of the second part of the film.

The last part of the film a carnival ride that threatens to come off the track any minute. The Wolf Pack have broken into two groups with Jacob, (Taylor Lautner), taking his rightful place as the leader of a pack. The Wolves who run with Sam wants to kill Bella and her Baby, Jacob wants to protect her even though he knows that she won't be the old Bella that he has always loved.

Bella gets abnormally ill as her pregnancy progresses. When she goes into labor "Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" turns into a true horror film.

I recommend the special edition two DVD set, the extra features are incredible. If you watch all of the special features together, it's like a whole new movie.

There is a six part documentary that you can watch one section at a time or all at once. It gives you some fascinating information about how scenes were filmed. There is a lot of information about the CGI and other arts that were used to bring the film together. There is also a lovely wedding video that is done just like anyone's wedding video. Several of the main characters give the newly married couple their congratulations and wishes for a long life and happiness.

Something that is unique to this group of special features is the "jump to" feature. You can watch the movie with just the parts that feature Edward or just the parts that feature Jacob.

The film has transferred beautifully to DVD and is well worth adding to your collection.

In Las Vegas there will not be a store that doesn't feature "Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1" on their shelves. However, to make sure you get the edition you want, (standard, Blu-ray or the special edition), I would suggest "Walmart" or "Target".

It's a great weekend to have a "Twilight" party and watch this excellent film.
