No matter how many fragrances are tested, bought and used, it's always comforting to go back to your trusty companions. In my case, it'll probably always be Davidoff's Cool Water for Women.
The perfume notes include watermelon, pineapple, black currant, feminine lily of the valley, blackberry and sensual wood.
If you're into water or "nature" scents, this perfume is highly recommended. This perfume is pleasant, relaxing and smells slightly sweet.
Davidoff's Cool Water for Men is the complete opposite. It's unbearably strong when it's first sprayed and takes quite awhile to calm down. The woodsy, musky scent never quite wears off but by the time the cologne calms down, it smells like men's deodorant and kinda grows on you.
The cologne notes include peppermint, lavender, spicy coriander, jasmine, oak moss, geranium, sandalwood, amber and musk.
You may have seen "The Power of Cool" ads featuring the late actor Paul Walker before. However, Davidoff website currently says, "The Davidoff Cool Water family mourns the loss of Paul Walker, spokesman for our Davidoff Cool Water fragrance as well as the ambassador for our National Geographic 'Love the Ocean' initiative. We send our deepest and most sincere condolences to Paul’s family, friends and fans around the world. Out of respect for Paul and his family, we have put all our advertising campaigns featuring Paul on hold. We will continue to work with the people and the causes he cared about."
One of the causes Walker was involved in was Reach Out WorldWide, which incorporates professionals with first responder skill-sets who utilize their local expertise when natural disasters strike in order to accelerate relief efforts. Donations can be made here.
As for the fragrance, there is no doubt that anything with Walker's face on it brings pleasant thoughts to mind, but the cologne doesn't woo me anywhere near the amount that his acting did. It's okay, but there are certainly better selections. The perfume, on the other hand, has been a longtime favorite for many years and is still number one my list, although Fergie's Outspoken and Victoria's Secret Heavenly are in my constant fragrance rotation.
