Alan Ball never ceases to disappoint when it comes to cliffhangers. When True Blood ended last season, we saw Sookie (Anna Paquin) give both Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) and Bill (Stephen Moyer) the heave-ho. We were left wondering if we will see Tara (Rutina Wesley) this season -- is she dead, will a vampire save her? Possibly undead?
The season premiere did not disappoint! Flowing character storylines, suspense, action, and of course, sex. The whipped cream, nuts, and cherry on top...it was an Eric sex scene! Thank you Alan Ball.
We were introduced to Eric's vampire sister, Nora, who reminded me of an Underworld-esque Kate Beckinsdale. Beautiful, petite, and rough around the edges, Nora is a colorful character that I hope we get to see more of. She is a member of the vampire authority, who kidnapped Bill and Eric only to plan to set them free. They certainly do not have a conventional brother/sister relationship though. After a gratuitous sex scene between the two (thank you again, Alan Ball), they have a brief squabble. Eric's best line delivered from last night's episode? "We fight like siblings, but we **** like champions."
Dear readers, tell me what you thought of last night's episode? Do you like Nora? The direction the show has turned? What do you think?
