Trouble Live February 16, 2014 at The Metro Chicago

February 16, 2014 marked the return to U.S. soil of Legendary Doomsters Trouble featuring Kyle Thomas on vocals.Trouble have always had a die hard, extremely loyal, cult like following. As with any beloved band, there will always be speculation when new blood is thrown into the mix. Let me be the first to say this now, as I said back in July of last year after my first listen to my #1 album of 2013, The Distortion Field, Trouble is back with a new energy that can not be denied. Kyle Thomas has returned the almighty Trouble to their rightfully deserved place among doom metals elite!

Kyle gets it, being a long time fan of the band he now fronts, and you couldn't have asked for a better, more grounded and humble guy to be out front! The band has an energy that I have not seen in some time. They ripped through an hour and a half set that seemed like five minutes. If there was any doubt what Kyle would bring to the table, all doubts were erased as the band opened up and ripped through the classic 'Tempter'. They mixed old favorites such as 'The Sleeper', ' At The End of My Daze', 'Memories Garden', and 'Flowers' to name a few, while playing selections from the newest offering The Distortion Field. Kyle's vocals bring out the famous monstrous guitar sound Trouble has been know for ! I have never seen the band sound tighter, or full of more energy.

Do yourself a favor, when the Trouble machine rolls through your city, get out and witness the rebirth first hand. The band will headline this years installment of The Days of the Doomed Fest on June 21 in Wisconsin, and have dates becoming confirmed for an early summer run. Doom on my friends, and witness the new reincarnation of The Doom Legends.
