The Navajo Kid is the 1945 western. After his father is killed, Tom Kirk finds out that he is not his birth Dad. He decides to find his birth parents and goes to Canyon City. A man named Honest John Grogan has his father’s ring so Tom assumes he murdered his adoptive father. However, it is Matt Crandell who murdered him. Matt kills Honest John and Tom is arrested by Sheriff Roy Landon. He escapes to confront the real killers. Will Tom avenge his adoptive father and find his birth father?
This movie is merely average. It makes no attempt to be memorable in its short running time. Thankfully, it doesn’t stop the plot for irrelevant events like the movie Ambush Trail does. The story is a good idea and could have made for a moving flick. Some viewers might find this movie a little too short. The actors are okay, if not the most memorable. Honolulu western fans need to rent it first.
